Since 1929, the Stiftung Pro Senectute Valais-Wallis has been committed to the quality of life of older people, with the goal of preserving their independence and representing their interests. To this end, the foundation has a wide range of services in the areas of social counseling, socio-cultural animation, and sport.

To complement our team, we are looking for, starting immediately or by arrangement:

a social worker 60-80% ##

for social counseling and mandate management

Work location: Oberwallis (Brig, Visp and Susten)

Your tasks:

• voluntary counseling of persons of AHV age and their relatives on topics such as finances, administration, living, health, lifestyle, and law
• identifying financial entitlements and supports (social insurances, individual financial assistance)
• management of adult guardianship on behalf of the KESB
• counseling, support, or representation of the affected persons in legal, administrative, financial, and personal matters, including income and asset management
• cooperation with internal and external specialist agencies
• preparation of accountability reports, statements, and applications for the KESB
• processing of investigation assignments on behalf of the KESB

Your profile:

• Completed studies in Social Work at a university or university of applied sciences
• Interest in working with older people and the associated challenges
• Interdisciplinary and networked thinking, high degree of independence
• German native language and good French skills
• Willingness to perform administrative work, organizational skills and ability to work independently, ideally with practical experience in social counseling or in managing adult guardianship
• Driver's license and personal car for home visits
