Commit yourself with us to realize the vision of a solidary society, as Two positions for Social Worker (m/f/d) 60% and 80% Our Migration & Integration Department French-speaking Switzerland -- a branch of Caritas Suisse in Fribourg employing about one hundred female and male employees -- is responsible for the support and integration of statutory refugees in the canton of Fribourg. On cantonal mandate, we welcome newcomers to our Matran shelter, help them find their own housing, grant personal and material aid according to social assistance standards, and support them in steps towards professional and social integration. Additionally, we manage a community interpreting service active in several French-speaking cantons as well as a listening and counseling service against racism for the inhabitants of the canton of Fribourg. The Social Assistance Service -- composed of about twenty social workers managed by 3 team leaders and piloted by a service manager -- has the mission of granting social assistance to refugees who are not financially autonomous. The teams follow them individually, establish monthly budgets, and provide them with material and personal aid in accordance with cantonal law and the principle of subsidiarity. They also support them in their administrative steps and evaluate their integration needs. The Service works in close collaboration with the Finance & Administration and Reception, Housing and Infrastructure, Integration and legal services. To complete our team, we are looking for two Social Workers, one at 60% and the other at 80%. Your tasks * Welcome, accompany and advise statutory refugees within the framework of social assistance * Establish monthly budgets * Ensure the principle of subsidiarity * Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and within the external network * Actively participate in colloquia, intervisions and supervisions * Conduct home visits * Management of mixed files Our requirements * Training as a social worker or deemed equivalent * Knowledge and experience of the social assistance law (LASoc) * Administrative and writing skills * Excellent ability to prioritize tasks and manage stress * Ease in using IT tools * Sense of collaboration, negotiation and teamwork * Empathy and ability to accompany people in situations of vulnerability * Proficiency in German in addition to French desired * Transcultural skills and/or affinity for the field of asylum and refugees The workplace is Fribourg.
