The Department of Climate and Environmental Physics (https://www.climate.unibe.ch/index_ger.html) belongs to the Physical Institute. Our goal: to understand the processes of the Earth system from seasons to millions of years.

Our offer

As of 1. January 2026 or by arrangement, we are looking for a new team member for our secretariat. The part-time position is particularly recommended for younger people who are completing the vocational baccalaureate BM 2 classically (part-time during two years) or are pursuing a subject-specific additional qualification (e.g., university of applied sciences) part-time. The position is initially limited to two years. An extension is intended if suitable.

Your tasks

• Financial administration
• Personnel administration
• Maintenance of databases (persons, projects, etc.)
• General administrative work
• Organization of events in the research and education sector

Your profile

• Completed commercial training in a training company
• Good IT skills: entire Office palette, time recording system, Filemaker or similar
• Independent, reliable and exact way of working
• Very good oral and written language skills in German and English
• Quick comprehension, networked thinking, flexibility and resilience
• Ability to work in a team
