The focus of your activity is the environmental impact assessment. Together with the other members of the Bern UVP team, you will coordinate individual UVPs and further develop the UVP. Within the team, you are responsible for large energy plants (e.g., wind and solar plants) and for gravel pits, waste treatment plants, and landfills. Additionally, you will undertake further coordinative tasks in the areas of environmental protection, climate adaptation, and sustainable development.

Your tasks

• Coordination of environmental impact assessments (UVP)
• internal and external administrative consultations and training regarding the UVP
• Participation in the further development of conceptual tools for a future-oriented cantonal environmental and spatial planning policy
• Independent management of projects and participation in committees and projects

Your profile

• University degree (Master) in the environmental field (geography, environmental sciences, or related discipline)
• Good knowledge and experience in the application of spatial planning, environmental, construction, and procedural law
• Strong planning and organizational skills
• Interest in leading / participating in projects and committees
• Interest and flair for political processes
• Excellent German skills as well as good French skills

The KUNE department of the AUE is the cantonal specialist office for sustainable development and coordinates cross-departmental environmental topics.
