The Birsfelden municipal administration is a modernly managed service company that provides diverse tasks for 10-500 inhabitants.

We are looking for the Social Services department as of 1 January 2027 or by agreement for an additional

Social Worker FH/HFS (60 - 80%, m/f/d) ##

With its 18 employees, the Social Services department is responsible for providing statutory social assistance, voluntary social counseling, the asylum system, and the management of adult protection mandates. To complement and strengthen our team, we are therefore looking for a new colleague.

Your main tasks are:

• Reviewing the eligibility requirements for receiving economic social assistance, taking into account the legal bases and the principle of subsidiarity
• Development and implementation of goal-oriented individual aid plans, including interdisciplinary cooperation within the framework of case management
• Needs assessment for the economic integration of eligible persons
• Advising persons and families on personal, family, and financial topics within the framework of social legislation
• Carrying out administrative activities in cooperation with the Administration team (tandem system)
• Conducting assessments in the field of adult protection on behalf of the Child and Adult Protection Authority
• Managing adult protection mandates on behalf of the Child and Adult Protection Authority

You have a completed degree in Social Work FH or a comparable education. Existing professional experience in economic social assistance and/or the management of adult protection mandates, as well as knowledge of social insurance, is an advantage. For this demanding activity, we expect an independent way of working, conceptual and solution-oriented thinking, as well as a high willingness to learn and develop. Your profile is rounded off by your ability to work in a team as well as a pronounced ability to deal with complex situations.
