The Fachstelle Kultur determines the strategic direction of cultural promotion and implements the cultural policy of the Government Council. It promotes contemporary cultural activity in various sectors, supports projects and institutions, awards prizes and distinctions and supports municipalities with their cultural programs. Through these activities, the Fachstelle Kultur contributes to a diverse cultural life in the Canton of Zürich.
As of 1 February 2027 or by arrangement, we are looking for a person who implements and drives forward cultural policy projects with commitment and assertiveness and who is responsible for cultural policy communication.

Your tasks

• Management of cultural policy issues and projects, such as answering inquiries and postulates, in exchange with cultural institutions, administration and politics.
• Responsibility for the cultural policy communication of the Fachstelle Kultur in close cooperation with the management.
• Coordination and responsibility for the implementation of the priorities of the cultural mission statement.
• Responsibility for the strategic communication of the Fachstelle Kultur
• Participation in the executive management
• Representation of the canton in committees

Profile

• Completed studies or comparable professional experience
• Several years of professional experience in political communication as well as in the conception and implementation of cultural policy projects and strategic endeavors. Knowledge of Swiss cultural promotion and the cultural policy actors as well as a good understanding of professional cultural activity in the Canton of Zürich.
• Experienced communicator, with a sense for relevant topics and target groups as well as the ability to develop and implement content independently.
• Independent, proactive and integrative personality who enjoys working in a team on a project basis and with high initiative, takes responsibility and brings different stakeholders together.
