To better meet current urban planning challenges, the Municipality has launched a profound reorganization of its urban planning department. We are looking for motivated, dynamic, and committed profiles to accompany this ambitious transformation.

To this end, the Municipality of Montreux is recruiting for a position of :

Within the construction police section, you will join a motivated team invested in the transformation of the service. You will ensure the rigorous processing of building permit files, while orienting and advising applicants. You will actively contribute to the evolution of internal processes, the deployment of new practices, and the updating of the communal regulatory framework, notably within the framework of the development of the PACom.

Main tasks:

• Ensure the processing of construction police files in compliance with laws and regulations
• Produce analysis reports of the files
• Coordinate the processing of construction police matters with the various services of the communal administration
• Write periodic reports on the progress of construction police files to your hierarchy and to the Municipality
• Apply fire protection regulations - AEAI within the framework of the files processed

Desired profile:

• Federal Certificate of Capacity (CFC) as a draftsman orientation architecture, geomatician, HES architect or training deemed equivalent
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience
• Training in fire protection regulations - AEAI, an asset
• Professional experience in the field of construction police and in a communal administration desired
• Good knowledge of the standards applicable to the construction police, of land-use planning instruments and policies, of the required procedures and legal aspects
• Knowledge of the communal territory, an asset
• Organizational capacity and rigor
• Communication skills and sense of initiative
• Great discretion and sense of responsibility
• Interpersonal skills and ease of adaptation
• Knowledge of computer-aided design (CAD), an asset
• Mastery of MS Office tools
