The Library of Business and Social Work at the Hochschule Luzern (managed by the Zentral- und Hochschulbibliothek Luzern) offers a position in the Subject Specialist Office Social Work with a workload of 20-30%, initially limited until December 31, 2027.

Your tasks

• You manage the Subject Specialist Office Social Work and decide which books, e-books, databases, magazines, and e-journals are acquired for the library. You assist with the content indexing of media (according to GND, RVK).
• In research workshops, you teach students information literacy regarding literature research, handling sources, and literature management, also addressing current topics such as the use of artificial intelligence.
• You advise students and lecturers on research questions and support them in searching for scientific literature.
• In the training steering group of the Department of Social Work, you represent the library and thus help shape the interface between training and the library.
• You also provide support for topics such as Open Science and research data management.

Your profile

• A university degree at Master's level in Social Work or a related field is required.
• A scientific background with research or doctoral experience is also welcome.
• As an independent, proactive, and outgoing personality, you enjoy approaching different people.
• Joy in working in a team as well as interest in working in a higher education environment and actively helping to shape services and projects round off your profile.
