As a communications professional, you will work at the interface of administration, politics, and the population, ensuring that complex topics of the Bau- und Verkehrsdirektion (BVD) are communicated internally and externally in a credible, effective, and timely manner.
Your tasks
Writing speeches, greeting messages, and media information, as well as compiling arguments for the Director's public appearances
Editing technical presentations
Ensuring timely and politically coordinated responses to media inquiries
Supporting the Director's political relationship management (associations, parties, and stakeholders)
Training and advising the offices on communication matters
Your profile
University degree, preferably with a focus on communications, linguistics, or political science
Several years of professional experience in the communications field, ideally in a public administration or a politically related area
Stylistically confident communication in German (both oral and written) as well as good French skills (B1)
High service orientation and quality awareness

Generalsekretariat (GS)
The GS of the BVD coordinates political business, manages cross-cutting projects, and supports the offices of the BVD with the central resource departments in the fulfillment of their tasks. The political staff manages the government and Grand Council business of the BVD, coordinates joint reports and consultations across offices, and supports the Director in the area of communication.
