On-site Night Shift Employee for 8 shifts per month (approx. 30%)

Wohnenbern is a non-profit organization that offers living space and professional residential support to people in the city of Bern. The goal is to provide protection and stability and to maintain or restore the ability to live independently. The low-threshold offering is based on the professional concepts of person-centeredness, social space orientation, and Housing First. It is aimed at adults who are affected by or threatened by homelessness, regardless of their personal life situation or health limitations.

As a landlord, Wohnenbern has around 180 places in nine properties with total rental agreements as well as in apartments within the city of Bern. The association offers supervised, semi-supervised, and accompanied living, as well as support to maintain the ability to live in one's own apartment. With the exception of the women's residential group, Wohnenbern does not require abstinence, therapy, or integration obligations.

A key component of the offering is the meeting place "DOCK8 Restaurant-Beratung-Kultur", which enables our customers to participate and integrate into society.

For our property for supervised and accompanied living in the Murifeld quartier with 26 customers with addiction disorders and/or mental and social limitations, we are looking as of 1 December 2026 or by arrangement ###

On-site Night Shift Employee for 8 shifts per month (approx. 30%) ##

Area of responsibility: ###

• Contact person for the customers in the property
• Execution of individual orders from the residential support workers
• Rounds through the house and ensuring peace and order
• Documentation of events (Socialweb)
• Answering the on-call telephone for all customers of Wohnenbern
• Situation-appropriate action in crisis and emergency situations in cooperation with emergency services
• Participation in night team meetings (1 x per month in the evening)

Working hours: ###

• Presence service: 19:30 - 23:00 and 6:30 - 7:30
• On-call service: 23:00 - 6:30 (opportunity to sleep, on-call compensation)

Salary per night: ###

• Gross approx. CHF 240.- (remuneration on an hourly basis)

Requirements: ###

• Completed training, students and/or proven experience in the fields of social pedagogy, social work, psychiatry, psychiatric home care
• Enjoyment in dealing with people
• Experience with people with health and social support needs and/or addiction disorders
• Communicative and resilient personality
• Fast reaction and assessment ability as well as independent, secure action in crisis situations (you are alone on site)
• IT user skills
