Operative Buyer (fixed-term for 6 months)

Do you want to gain real practical experience in purchasing and take on responsibility from the very beginning? In this role, you will be in the middle of day-to-day operations and, together with the team, ensure that our products are available at the right time. You will work with suppliers, orders, prices, and goods flows, gaining a versatile insight into the professional purchasing of a large trading company. The position is fixed-term for 6 months and is ideal if you want to apply and further develop your knowledge from training, further education, or initial practical experience.

What awaits you

• Responsibility for operative orders and their ongoing monitoring
• Participation in order suggestions, forecasts, and open orders
• Support in optimizing prices, procurement costs, and order quantities
• Checking of order confirmations, delivery dates, and article data
• Direct exchange with suppliers regarding questions about orders and deliveries
• Participation in ensuring a reliable goods flow
• Maintenance of purchasing, supplier, and article data in our systems
• Processing of returns, credit notes, and other purchasing topics
• Insight into different processes and interfaces surrounding purchasing and disposition
• Opportunity to contribute your own ideas and help optimize existing processes

What you bring with you

• Completed basic commercial training as well as ideally commercial or business administration further education
• Initial practical experience in purchasing, planning, disposition, or a comparable commercial environment
• Interest in procurement, goods flows, and operative purchasing processes
• Confident German in speaking and writing
• English skills are an advantage
• Good MS Office skills and enjoyment in working with different systems
• Analytical thinking and a good sense for numbers and connections
• Independent, structured, and reliable way of working
• Openness to learning new things and taking on responsibility
• Enjoyment in collaborating with suppliers and internal teams
